Paducah, KY – Challenging write-in candidates for McCracken County Clerk Becky Bowers and Mark Kidd want incumbent Jeff Jerrell to recuse himself from overseeing the election in November. Jerrell tells the Paducah Sun he won't step down, saying he didn't four years ago when he had an opponent and that no one else besides himself could run the election. As County Clerk, Jerrell oversees election preparations, counts votes, certifies ballot results and decides election-day disputes.
