TURC Calls for Clarksville Housing Advocac

By Jacque Day

Clarksville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Urban Resource Center Director is calling for help advocating for residents of a Clarksville public housing development set to be phased out. Terry McMoore says people are concerned they'll be left without a place to live since the unveiling of the Clarksville Smart Growth 2030 plan. The City's plan includes phasing out Lincoln Homes and expanding residential options an adjacent neighborhood. Planning team member Frank Lott says, the concept is to provide public housing residents with modern facilities built in a more traditional neighborhood style. He says the Lincoln Homes Resident Council will be consulted before any action takes place.
