Murray, KY – Murray State University has seen an increase this fall in enrollment for new freshmen, transfer, and graduate students. The one percent increase in overall enrollment brings the school's numbers to an estimated 10,200 students. This is part of a statewide report done by the Council on Higher Education. Out of state students have had the most impressive impact on Murray State's increase- including a 19 percent increase in new freshmen from Illinois. University President Randy Dunn expresses interest in continuing to recruit students from other surrounding states including Missouri, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, and Alabama.
