Frankfort, KY – Volunteers are gearing up for Kentucky's annual fall sweep week. That means Adopt-a-Highway groups will be out clearing trash from Commonwealth roadways. A statement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says fall sweep week will run September 19th through the 25th.
The Cabinet says nearly 1,100 groups participate in the state's Adopt-a-Highway program and volunteers clean about 8,000 miles of roadside each year.
