Tennessee Awards $14.9 Million for Highway Safety

Nashville, TN – Tennessee is dividing almost $15 million in highway safety grants to law enforcement agencies across the state. The grants are designated to help fund speed enforcement, first responder equipment purchases and pay drunk driving prosecutors. Governor Phil Bredesen says the funds will help make roadways safer. The state is dividing the grants based on defined and statistical needs.
