Clarksville, TN – A Clarksville hotel employee who denied a blind man and his seeing-eye dog access to a room was found guilty this week. 48-year-old Becky Jo McHughes is convicted of failure to admit a guide dog. McHughes denied Michael Turner and his leashed seeing-eye dog "Amber" a room at Microtel Inn last month saying no dogs were allowed. Turner tells the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle he warned McHughes denying him a room was against the law and would violate his civil rights, but she instead called police to have him removed. After officers arrived, Turner pressed charges.
