Beshear-Abramson Campaign Finance Complaint

By Tony McVeigh

Murray, KY – Using the exact same template and some of the exact same verbiage as a complaint filed Thursday, a Lexington, Kentucky, man is filing an election finance complaint against the Beshear-Abramson campaign.
Jonathan Strom accuses the Democratic gubernatorial slate of spending money on their campaign prior to the filing of a legally-required letter of intent to seek office.
Steve Neal, the former head of the Jefferson County Teachers' Association, filed the original complaint Thursday against the David Williams-Richie Farmer gubernatorial campaign. Neal accuses the Republican slate of similar campaign finance violations.
The layout, bullet points and wording of Strom's complaint is almost exactly like Neal's, except the names and alleged violations have been changed.
Both documents request investigations by the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.
