Ft. Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell soldier and 2008 graduate of Western Kentucky University's ROTC program has been killed in Afghanistan. 26-year-old first Lieutenant Eric Yates died Saturday. Yates died from injuries when his unit came under attack in the Kandahar Province. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday at Western's Bowling Green campus.
