New Direction for Kentucky

By Tony McVeigh

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky House Republicans are declaring "A New Day, A New Direction for Kentucky." And on November 2nd, House Minority Leader Jeffrey Hoover is hoping voters will give Republicans control of the House.

"It's a good time to stand up and say what Republicans believe in. And it's a good time for people to know that if we are the majority party, things will be different. Things will be more responsive. There will be more accountability in government."

But Republicans have a steep hill to climb. Democrats in the House currently outnumber Republicans 65-35. The Senate is already Republican-controlled, with 20 Republicans, 17 Democrats and one independent.
