Mayfield, KY – The attorney for the city of Mayfield says the zoning board will take up the ACLU's request to reverse a permit denial at their next meeting. Board members voted August 24 to deny a conditional use permit for a mosque in the city's downtown, citing inadequate parking. The ACLU Wednesday requested the board reverse the ruling, which they call improper. The zoning board meets October 12 in the city chambers.
