Hopkinsville, KY – The Hopkinsville Fire Department reminds Christian County citizens the county-wide burn ban is still in effect. The burn ban went into effect on September 16. Officials say people are more inclined to burn because of the cooler weather, but the current dry conditions make it extremely dangerous. County Judge Executive Steve Tribble issued the original ban.
