Illinois – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says Friday's Energy Star appliance rebate day generated more than $25 million in sales statewide. Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Director Warren Ribley says, in the two-and-a-half hours it took for the funds to deplete, consumers received $3.6 million in rebates. Officials say the program's first round earlier this year yielded rebates of $9.4 million.
