Benton, KY – State officials and Governor Steve Beshear are in Marshall County this afternoon for the county's health department groundbreaking. Judge-Executive Mike Miller says the governor will also present the county with an additional 400-thousand dollars to construct the facility. Miller says they previously received half a million dollars for the project. The groundbreaking comes a day ahead of a bid announcement for a contractor to head construction. County officials estimate the health department will be completed in early 2012.
