Frankfort, KY – Kentucky will receive $1 million in federal grant funding over five years aimed at improving performance management for state and local health departments. The Kentucky Department for Public Health may use those funds to collect data to inform decisions; monitor and evaluate quality; and make improvements throughout its public health system. In addition, two full-time staff members will be added to the department to focus on systems and processes and coordinate comparable activities at local health departments. The funding comes from a $42.5 million Centers for Disease Control and Prevention award.
