Murray, KY – A burn ban will start on Friday, October 9 for Calloway County. High winds and drought-like conditions in the area, in addition to continuing forest fires in Kentucky, have led to ideal conditions for untamed fires. Calloway County Judge Executive Larry Elkins says all open burning within the county is off-limits until further notice.
