Murray, KY – The Calloway County murder trial of Kelly Agee will proceed after mediators were unable to resolve the case last week. The 38-year-old Agee will go on trial October 19th for the February 19th shooting death of her ex-boyfriend Kenneth Ray Brogdon. Calloway Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship says the trial is scheduled to last three days.
The Paducah Sun reports Agee is charged with fatally shooting Brogdon at her Poplar Street apartment. Agee's attorney says the incident was a case of self-defense, since Brogdon had called to say he was coming to kill her.
