Murray, Ky. – The Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce is asking its membership how satisfied they are with City of Murray services. President and CEO Lance Allison says they developed the survey after numerous members expressed concerns that the city was not being business friendly in certain areas.
"The whole point of this survey is not to be antagonistic, or to pit business community against city. It's really more to be constructive in nature and help the city see that maybe there are some areas that could use improvement."
Allison expects to have a response gauge in about a week. As of early Monday afternoon, he says they've received 39 responses, though he's not ready to disclose those results. All of the Chamber's 690 members are eligible to take the survey. Allison says the Chamber informed Mayor Danny Hudspeth of the survey ahead of time, and they will share the results with the city.
