Beshear Heads to India

Frankfort, KY – Governor Steve Beshear is heading to India on an economic development trip, making him the first sitting Kentucky governor to visit the country. Beshear's office says the seven-day trip is set to begin today. First lady Jane Beshear and state Economic Development Secretary Larry Hayes will accompany the governor on the trip. The Kentucky delegation is expected to travel to New Delhi and Mumbai. The governor's office says there are six Indian-owned companies in Kentucky, employing more than 1,500 people.
