Madisonville, KY – A meeting last night of the Hopkins County Library board ended without a decision on when the library will move back downtown. They also came away without a capital campaign to fund the potential move. The board does have a structural engineer's report affirming that the old building and its annex can be made safe barring repairs. Board member Carolyn Farrell says the engineer's budget report, which will determine any further action, is forthcoming. Farrell says they hope to get the report in the next few days, and will call a special meeting at that time. The library is presently housed at the Parkway Plaza Mall in Madisonville.
