WEG Tourism Impact Study

Murray, KY – Travel experts plan to examine the impact the 2010 World Equestrian Games had on Kentucky's tourism industry. The 16 day event that took place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington hosted athletes from 58 countries and had an attendance rate of over 500,000. The study will look at hotel occupancy rates as well as retail and hospitality sectors in and around Lexington during the games.
