Murray, KY – A Murray woman facing murder charges will now wait until the end of January for her trial to begin. Calloway Circuit Judge Dennis Foust continued the case against 38-year-old Kelly Agee, which was set to begin this week. Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship tells the Paducah Sun the delay comes after a state lab did not return phone records to the prosecution and the defense until just last week. Judge Foust also scheduled a probable cause hearing for Wednesday to review evidence regarding if Agee, as she claims, was acting in self-defense when she shot her former boyfriend, Kenneth Brogdon, last February.
