McKinney gets probated sentence

By Rebecca Feldhaus/Madisonville Messenger

Hopkins County, KY – Former Madisonville evidence technician Brian McKinney received a five-year probated sentence this week for stealing from the police department. 39-year-old McKinney must pay $50,000 to the police department in restitution as part of the deal. McKinney pled guilty to theft charges on September 3rd. The Madisonville Messenger reports this isn't McKinney's first offense. He was sentenced for theft in 2003, and 2007 when he stole more than 80 guns from the police department.
