Vienna, IL – A hearing in Johnson County, Illinois for representatives of the Metropolis branch of the United Steel Workers union lasted much longer than anticipated today. The hearing with members of USW's Local 7-669 and Honeywell corporation officials was set to last two hours this morning, but the group was still in court as of late this afternoon. The union was in court in response to Honeywell's claim that locked out workers have been engaging in acts of vandalism and threats despite a restraining order. Honeywell took out the restraining order on the union in late September.
