Knoxville, TN – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees elected Joe DiPietro today to serve as the next president of the UT-University system. DiPietro is currently the Chancellor of UT Institute for Agriculture. As president, DiPietro will oversee universities at Martin, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, as well as several other education centers. He replaces Jan Simek, who has served as interim president since 2009.
