Paris, TN – A Mansfield, Tennessee man is in custody on attempted murder and assault charges after a severe domestic violence incident occurred earlier this week. 27-year-old Nicolas Barber allegedly beat and choked his wife, Amanda, during a dispute. She was able to escape and was later treated at the Henry County Medical Center. The Paris Post Intelligencer report police also charged Barber with unlawful possession of a weapon after finding a stolen rifle in his residence.
