Fort Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell soldier stationed in Afghanistan died Wednesday when he was struck by an improvised explosive device. Nineteen-year-old Specialist Gerald Jenkins of Circleville, Ohio was on dismounted patrol in Zahri District. Jenkins joined in the army in 2008 and moved to Fort Campbell in 2009.
