Benton, KY – Marshall County Commissioners are in talks to begin a spay and neuter program as the county's Animal Shelter had to euthanize 93 of the 145 animals dropped off in August. County Commissioner Jerry English tells WPSD-TV a program to prevent pet pregnancies would save the county in the long run. The county spends an estimated $20,000 annually on euthanizations. The proposal is expected to be heard at Marshall County's next Fiscal Court meeting November 4th.
