High Schoolers Vote in Mock Election

Murray, KY – If it were up to area high school students who participated in a mock election, Rand Paul would be Kentucky's next US Senator. Paul won by less than 10 percentage points at Livingston Central High School, Lone Oak High School in Paducah, Madisonville North Hopkins High School and Murray High. Conway won the majority at both Lyon County High School and Hopkinsville High. Some participating high schools have yet to be tallied.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
