Benton, KY – A Benton man is expected to be arraigned mid this month after a Marshall County grand jury indicted him on murder and aggravated DUI charges Thursday. 32-year-old Brad Chandler of Benton faces the charges in connection with the September wreck that killed his passenger and friend, 32-year-old Charlie Chancellor. The Paducah Sun reports defense attorney James Burkeen conceded at a hearing enough evidence exists to charge Chandler with some form of vehicular homicide, but questions whether the charge of murder fits the circumstances. A blood test found Chandler's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the wreck.
