Henry County, TN – In Tennessee, the Henry County Medical Center may soon stop subsidy payments for 911 dispatch services. HCMC C.E.O Tom Gee says the hospital initially paid $65,000 to get the program off the ground. They have continued that annual payment since the late 1990s. Now HCMC is $155,000 in debt this fiscal year, and Gee says the board is looking into discontinuing the payments. HCMC has conducted a state-wide survey to find it is one of only a few hospitals in the state to pay for these services for the community.
