Paducah, KY – Paducah school officials have bought seven of the 31 lots needed to build a new middle school. So far, prices have ranged from $45,000-90,000 for the properties found behind the existing middle school along Adams, Clark and 31st Streets. School board attorney Mark Whitlow tells the Paducah Sun three or four more properties could be finalized this week and purchases are going better than expected. The school board aims to purchase all needed property by the close of the year and has allocated up to $2.5 million for purchases.
