Paducah, KY – If an initial computerized vote counting tally for McCracken County Clerk shows incumbent Jeff Jerrell's total is less than the number cast for write-in candidates, the ballots will be counted by hand. That's because the computer scan can not determine which write-in candidate is on the ballot. Becky Bowers and Mark Kidd are also running for the post. County Board of Election member Jim Morphew says if that happens, the board should be able to determine rather quickly if a write-in candidate is garnering a majority.
