Benton, KY – While Democrats lost seats in Northwestern TN state house races, the anti-Democratic sentiment did not take root in Western Kentucky house races. Democrats Will Coursey and Melvin Henley both Democrat incumbents beat their Republican challengers in the 5th and 6th district races. Coursey defeated Monti Collins by over 1700 votes. Henley bested Corey McBee by more than one-thousand votes.
