Mayfield, KY – A Mayfield Police officer's accidental withholding of evidence has delayed the trial of a man accused of murder. Tony Green is charged with the 2008 killing of 49 year old Delilah Blair. He was set to go to trial November 16. Defense Attorney Nathan Goodrich tells the Paducah Sun the withheld evidence contains pages of documents that could prove Green's innocence. Mayfield Police Detective Mark Green says of the evidence withholding that it was a "simple mistake." This is the second time in 10 years that Mayfield Police have been found holding back evidence in a Murder Trial. Green is now set to go to trial early next year.
