Tennessee – Unemployment rates in northwest Tennessee inched down again from August to September. The two counties that saw the biggest drops were Stewart with a five percent drop, and Montgomery at seven percent. Weakley and Obion unemployment fell two percent, and Henry is down one percent. At 8.9 percent, Montgomery is the only county in the region to fall below the state unemployment average of 9.4 percent.
