Christian County, KY – Christian County High School is one of ten state schools to receive grants due to persistently low achievement. The Kentucky Department of Education reports CCHS is eligible for federal School Improvement Grant funding for the 2011-2012 school year. The money aims to help the school reach Adequate Yearly Progress as mandated under the No Child Left Behind Law. The list includes the schools that ranked the lowest in math and reading test scores among the bottom five percent of state schools. Superintendent Brady Link says he welcomes the federal aide.
