Paducah, KY – Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce representatives and McCracken County school officials are expected to discuss a $25,000 grant tomorrow that aims to curb Reidland High School's dropout rate. The AT&T-backed grant will go toward funding new computers and field trips, as well as pay successful businesspeople for school visits and to mentor at-risk youth. The Paducah Sun reports Reidland High had a dropout rate of almost 4 percent two years ago, but the numbers have since subsided to just over 1 percent last year. Officials will discuss the grant at the Reidland Middle School library at 9:00 tomorrow morning.
