Brookport, Ill. – One person is dead following a shooting early this morning in rural Massac County. Illinois State Police Captain Harold Masse says the shooting occurred during a home invasion on Unionville Road outside of Brookport. Police have not yet released the victim's identity, and no suspect information is available at this time. Massey confirms, more than one perpetrator was involved in the break-in. Officers are processing the scene.
