Paducah, KY – The US Army Corps of Engineers estimates repairing and replacing parts of Paducah's floodwall could cost almost $19 million. Corps Project Manager Theresa Beckham says work is needed to replace outdated water pumps and pump motors which would minimize future river flooding. City Engineer Rick Murphy tells the Paducah Sun the federal government is expected to bear about 65% of the cost, with the city paying the remainder.
