Paducah, KY – Paducah City Commissioners will vote next week on whether or not to increase the city limits. Two ordinances were introduced and approved last night to annex 174 acres including property owned by the Paducah & Louisville Railroad, Paducah Power and the Tennessee Valley Authority. The other is to rezone the land in the Schneidman Road area from residential to heavy industrial. Mayor Bill Paxton says no residential property is being annexed. At the same time, county officials are looking into legal options aimed at blocking the annexation.
