Frankfort, KY – Airports serving Lake Barkley and Kentucky Dam Village state resort parks are set to receive upgrades paid for mostly by federal grants. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear yesterday announced $667,000 worth of Federal Aviation Administration grants to replace and install new runway lighting at both sites. The grants will also pay for new navigational aid systems which will allow pilots to activate airport lighting and other assistance from the air.
