Paducah, KY – Federal stimulus money could save McCracken County Schools over $4 million in interest payments on its $50 million loan to finance the new high school. Superintendent Nancy Waldrop tells the Paducah Sun board members are working to finalize documents by year's end to be eligible for Build America Bonds. The stimulus program would pay 35 percent of the school's loan interest. In other highlights, the school board meets this morning to finalize construction plan revisions for the new high school after bids came in much higher than anticipated.
