Paducah, KY – The McCracken County Board of Education will re-advertise new bid specifications for the consolidated High School. Head architect Mike Smith recommends reducing the number of tennis courts, removing a planned amphitheater and alternate flooring materials. School board spokesperson Molly Goodman says this architectural bid should bring the building back into budget. The initial bids came in at close to 7 million dollars over budget. Goodman says if the estimates are correct, they should be able to bring many of these features back over time. The school's square footage will not change. Advertisements begin tomorrow and bids open December 7th.
