Murray, KY – A Murray State University graduate student involved in a fatal weekend crash is improving, but still in critical condition. Archana Gambiroapet and her twin sister Arpana both suffered severe injuries in the November 12th accident. The two were airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Arpana Gambiroapet died later that evening. A Murray State spokesperson says the other sister is still in the trauma center, but is beginning to breathe on her own. Doctors say she may be paralyzed. Three other passengers in the vehicle were treated and released. Murray State University has set up a fund to help with the family's medical expenses.
