Paris, TN – Henry County, TN will begin housing an overflow of Stewart County prisoners at a cost of $35 a day each. The state's Corrections Institute threatened to decertify Stewart County's overcrowded and antiquated jail, saying it can hold no more than 18 prisoners at a time. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports Stewart County Sheriff Deryk Wyatt worked out the deal with Henry's Sheriff Monte Belew, which could last for awhile as officials are in the beginning stages of planning to build a new facility.
