Hopkins County, KY – The Hopkins County Board of Education is considering a lawsuit against Land O'Frost for unpaid debts. Board Attorney Keith Cartwright says the industry owes more than 146-thousand dollars for 2009 alone. When locating in Madisonville, the commercial lunch meat producer agreed to make payments to the board of education in lieu of taxes to other agencies. Land O'Frost released a statement saying they are disappointed in reports from the board and are making good faiths attempts to settle the dispute. The two parties meet again in December.
