Nashville, TN – Tennessee's October unemployment rate hasn't changed from the rate in September. Unemployment remains at 9.4 percent, just slightly below the national rate. State Labor Commissioner James Neeley says jobs increased in areas such as trade, transportation, and local business services. Major employment decreases occurred in leisure and hospitality, nondurable goods manufacturing and federal jobs.
