Two Chosen for Top State Government Posts

By Tony McVeigh

Frankfort, KY – In Frankfort, two men have been chosen to fill top positions at a couple of Kentucky government agencies. Craig Dilger has been unanimously re-elected chairman of the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance. It's the fourth consecutive term for the Louisville attorney, who was first appointed to the Registry by former Gov. Ernie Fletcher.

Dilger was reappointed to the board in October 2008 by Gov. Steve Beshear. The Registry oversees state campaign finance laws.

Also in Frankfort, T.J. Carlson is the new Chief Investment Officer for the Kentucky Retirement Systems. Carlson has served in similar positions in West Virginia and Iowa. He has nearly 20 years of investment experience.

Carlson replaces Adam Tosh, who left KRS in July for a job in the private sector. Carlson starts work at the $13 billion state-administered retirement system at the end of the month.
