Frankfort, KY – State representative and former Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo says the commonwealth needs a "false claims" law to help it recover fraudulent Medicaid payments. He says he's working on such a bill and it's patterned after a federal statute.
"That will allow us to recover through these relaters and these various parties. If our experience is the same as in other states, we'll show an increase in savings in the waste and fraud and abuse series."
Stumbo says he called on the Kentucky legislature to approve a "false claims" law when he served as the state's Attorney General.
