Oak Grove, KY – The city of Oak Grove has dropped its acting police chief and appointed a subordinate to the post. Mayor Dan Potter Friday replaced acting police chief Major Les Langdon with Lieutenant Adam Vanderkolk. Potter declined to say why he made the change or if it was related to a Kentucky State Police investigation that's resulted in Oak Grove Police Department.
Chief Milton Perry being put on paid administrative leave. Potter says there was no negative action and that relieving Langdon was not accompanied by a suspension. Potter says Langdon is still on duty as assistant police chief.
